Leaving the US for a one month trip to Tahiti

Sejin dropped me off at SJC around 11:30am for my flight. I just barely made my flight because i had to check my carry on (forgot i had a bunch of liquids in it haha). I've been anticipating this trip for a long time. It's been something that I've wanted to do for a whole but things never worked out. I had been waiting to see how the layoffs at work panned out, and once I knew I was safe I bought my plane ticket.

So on the long flight I read on most of the way. I completed a whole book cover to cover (the five languages of love). It was such an eye opening book, I totally recommend it to anyone.

I landed in Papeete at 11:30pm Tahiti time. Mat greeted me with a lai made of plumeria haha. We drove off to his house, talked for a bit and then crashed. I was pretty tired so I did not mind at all. His place is right on the ocean. I could hear the geckos chirping and the waves crashing on the distant outer reef on the other side of the lagoon. I got to meet the neighbor's cat, who loves to drink from the sink haha.
